STANLEY & DARBYSHIRE’S JUVENILE OPERA TROUPE.
Our notice of the charming opera “Les Cloches de Corneville,” performed last night in Parnell and Boylan’s Hall, is in type, but we are reluctantly compelled to hold it over in consequence of pressure on our space. A very good house greeted the rise of the curtain. We advise our readers strongly to witness the performance, and will venture to say—that if it be a venture—that one and all will leave the hall delighted. The singing is excellent, and the acting all that could be desired. Messrs Stanley and Darbyshire have evidently secured the greatest combination of Juvenile talent ever seen in New Zealand. This Opera will be repeated to-night, and to-morrow night, “ H. M. S. Pinafore,” will be produced.
