MEETING OF THE HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
A Meehxo of the above was lield in the Resident Magistrate’s Court last evening. There were present the Van. Archdeacon Williams (in the Chair), ?<ev. Mr McAra, Messrs McKay, E. K. Brown, and Chrisp. ’ The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The \\ ardsman s report showed that five patients had been admitted, and four discharged, and that V.iere were at present four in the hospital. Thfe Treasurer reported that with the amount to cot'je from the Presbyterian Church, there would be £l7 Is lOd, and thut the subsidy would amount to £2OO 14a 3d. All outstanding debts had been paid, with the exception of those before the m* eting. . Accounts to the amount of £4O 17s were pa i ->sed. f Che Visiting Committee for the ensuing me .nth will be the Ven. Archdeacon Williams R« v. McAra, and Mr McKay. On the application of the Wardsman for ce ctain work inside the hospital, Mr Brown pr oposed, and Mr Chrisp seconded, “That Vir Finneran be requested to see what was J lecessary.” The \ en. Archdeacon Williams suggested that a filter should be used in connection with the tank at the hospital, and gave an explanation of a very simple and ingenious arrangement which he had himself invented and adopted. The cost was light, and he had found the filter most effective. After some discussion it was resolved that the Archdeacon be requested to order and supervise the construction of one for the hospital.
