We must not omit to call the attention of the public to Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett’s sale of Mr Tutehen’s property in New Town, at noon, to-morrow. There are 40 sections in all, 32 of which are about 1 rood 15-2 perches in extent. There are six sections averaging I rood 30'3 perches, which will be offered at upset prices ranging from £2O to £3O. There is one section of 2 acres, 1 rood and 3 perches offered at £450, ami one section of 2 acres 2 roods, without a house, at £l5O. The terms are liberal in the extreme, being one-quarter cash ; one-quarter in 12 months ; one-quarter in two years ; and one-quarter in three years. We congratulate the public on having such facilities offered for purchase of freeholds and should greatly like to see Mr Tutehen’s example followed, Messrs Graham, Pitt and Bennett should have a large attendance ; the sale will commence at noon sharp, to-morrow, at their mart. Plans can be seen and information obtained at their mart. The performance to be held at Makaraka on the 4th of next month, should be a decided “hit,” as it will give the country settlers, who were unable to attend the recent Hospital entertainment in consequence of the weather, an opportunity of witnessing one of the best amateur entertainments ever presented in the Bay. Mr O’Hare, who is a host in himself, Mr Cohen, wno recently gained notoriety for his capital negro delineation, Mr J. R. Scott, who is too well known to require comment, Mr W. H. Sceats whose funniments have often caused roars of hearty laughter, and last, but not by any means least, Madam Stewart, whose cultivated voice is always listened to with delight, will be assisted by several other well known vocalists. The programme will appear in Saturday night’s issue.
