(beutkr’r telegrams.) EV KLKCTRIC TELEGRAPH.—(COrYMIGHT) MELBOURNE, Oot, 25. At the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.’s wool sale to day, 1,900 bales wore offered, of which 1,000 were sold, There was a large attendance of buyers, and the competition was brisk, competition being firmly maintained. Two large clips, amounting to 800 bales, were withdrawn, the reserve upon them being too high. Tho highest prico for merino was 13d, and was obtained for a lot of C 7 bales of greasy fleece from the Western districts of this Colony, For a lot of 54 bales scoured merino 24d was obtained. These are the highest yet reached during this season's sale. Good cross-breds are in moderate de*, maud, and flrm at about last sales’ closing rates. This Day. The Union steamship Wairarapa arrived this morning from th© Bluff. SYDNEY, Oct. 26. The recent heavy rain fall has ceased, and reports of fine weather are to hand from all parts of the Colony.
