THE POVERTY BAY CRICKET CLUB.
The adjourned annual mooting of the Poverty Bay Cricket Club was held at the Masonic Hotel last evening, Mr E. K, Browne in the chair. The minutes of the last annual general meeting were road and confirmed, likewise the balance-sheet and statement of assets and liabilities to date. Thu balance-sheet showed cash in hand £4 6s Bd, which, taken together with outstanding subscriptions ami property of the Club, left a balance to the credit over and above the liabilities. Nineteen new members were elected. The election of officers for the ensuing season resulted as follows : - President, Captain Winter ; Vice-president, Charles Evans ; Secretary, Wm. Ratcliffe ; Treasurer, J. W. Matthews; Committee, Messrs. E. K. Brown, J. W. Nolan, W. .T. Quigley, W. H. Smith, T. Morgan, C. W. Ferris ; Match Committee, J. H. Aislubic, R. Thelwall and Captain Winter. The opening match of the season was fixed to take place on Saturday, the 14th instant. A vote of thanks was carried by acclamation to the late secretary and officers of the Club.
