The Grand Cricket Matc’i Australians v. United South of England, terminated in favor of the former. The match was played at Chichester. Morris Reid (Surrey) scored 90 W. K. Gilbert (Gloster), 38 ; being 335 behind their opponents. The United South followed, but only sjored 72 in theiy. second innings. The 1 ustralians won the match in one innin with 263 runs to spare. 1
Consols have further declined to 99 J ; New Zealand securif.es remain at yesterday’s quotation. The market rate of discount has advanced | per cent., and is now 2|. The Bank rate is 3 per eent. Adelaide and New Zealand wheat ex store, unchanged at 51s and 49s respectively. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is 355. Australian taljjw, best beef, 23s 6d ; best mutton, 44s 6d.
