FIRE BRIGADE.

A MEETING of the Fire Brigade was held last night, but nothing was done beyond the election of three new members. On account of having no hose fit to work with, the members are compelled to forego their usual practices. Tlie Borough Council have voted £5O for the purchase of hose, &e., and we w >uld suggest that there should be no further delay in this matter; but that all the necessary gear required to put the lire engine in working order be obtained at once, otherwise tile Brigade will be powerless in case of fire.
