In the Ilonse of Commons to-day Sir Charles Dilke, the Under Secretary, for Foreign Affairs, in reply to a question, stated that the recent visitor the Right Honorable G. G. Goschen to Berlin was purely personal and private, and was not in any way one of a diplomatic character. Inlelligence is to hand from Ireland that Mr Floyd, a Magistrate, and a policeman named Bourke, have been shot. No traces of the perpeirators of the outrage have yet been obtained. It is rumoured that Mr Gladstone intends to make a proposed introduction of the cloture into the House of Commons a cabinet question. Melbourne, Feb. 14. It is announced that passengers by the P. and (). Company steamship Mirzapore who have been isolated from small pox patients will be released from quarantine after the 20th instant. Sydney, Feb. 14. The inter-colonial cricket match continued to-day, when the Victorians were all disposed of for a total of 315 runs —Palmer not out for 76, and Bonnor scored 44. The Victorians followed on their 2nd innings, and when the stumps were drawn lost two wickets for 191 runs. Blackham made 96 and Horan 61, both not out. Elias Laycock, the oarsman, sails for England by the steamship Liguria on Friday next. It is understood that he goes for the purpose of rendering assistance to Trickett.
