London, Nov. 30. At the wool sales to-day, good demand still continues. The catalogue comprised 8,900 bales.
Telegram from Constantinople states that in consequence of a difficulty which has arisen with the Greek Government, the Porte has now threatened to order the closing of all European Post Offices in Constantinople. An official statement is published to the effect that prior to his execution, Lefroy, the Brighton murderer, withdrew his confession, that he murdered Lieut. Roper at Chatham. Berlin, Novembre 30. Since the opening of the German Parliament, debates of a stormy character have taken place, almost daily in the Reichstag. Progress members made violent speeches, in which strong personal attacks were made upon the Imperial Chancellor, Prince Bismarck. In reply he accused tne Progressists of desertion from, and hostility to the cause of the Left; and asserted he has, in consequence, been forced to seek the allegiance of the Senate, or Ultramontane Party. It is rumored that the Prussian Government has decided, in view of the friendly relations now existing with the Church of‘Rome, to appoint a Minister to the Vatican. Vienna, Nov. 30. Telegrams report severe fighting between the Bosnian Insurgents, and the Austrian troops ; during which the latter were defeated, with twenty killed. Wellington, Nov. 30. The Irish National Convention has again commenced its sittings at Chicago. Over 1000 delegates were present. Sydney, November 30. In the Legislative Assembly last night, the Hon. Sir 11. Parkes, Premier, referring to steps adopted by Governments in dealing with the Milburn Creek Copper Mine Company, states that with the exception of Sir John Robertson who resigned his portfolio on the 10th inst., members of Cabinet had throughout been unanimous as to the action which should be taken in the matter. Another death from small pox occurred yesterday. December 2. It is feared the smallpox epidemic is increasing j several fresh cases are reported.
