TOLOGA BAY.
[from our own correspondent.] News is just to hand that Mr Samuel Locke has abandoned his intention of coming here for the present. The weather during the past week has been very bad indeed, very heavy rain, and strong wind, and cold with it, that we seemed back into winter again.
Dr. Scott is still at Tologa Bay, though he intends making a start almost immediately. It was a very cowardly thing of the parent, but she led the innoculated calf astray, and destroyed all the pustules, so that the Doctor is still sadly in a straight for a supply of lymph.
The s.s. Rosina is anxiously expected by our publicans, as well as inhabitants, as their beer casks have run dry nearly four days, and except bottled beer, there is none to be had in the Bay. There is a good supply of wool in store, waiting for the steamer, but the bad weather has retarded shearing operations sadly, and it is feared will cause cause considerable loss among the shorn sheep. By the way it was Mr. Cannon (and not Mr Cameron as printed by you) who allowed Dr. Scott the use of the calf for the purpose of innoculating it.
