Native Lands Court.

The Court has been engaged for the last eight days in investigating the claim of Wi Pere and others to 160,000 acres, part of the Mangatu Block. There are several parties of counter-claimants seeking admission to the block with Wi Pere and his parey, hence the length of the proceedings. The case will, in all probability, be finished in a day or two. A portion of the block is the Mangata Jtun for some years past occupied by the Messrs. Cuff. The careful and able manner in which the Court is proceeding with this important case, and the patience exhibited are greatly appreciated bv the Native claimants.
