Natal, April 1. Intelligence has been received from the Transvaal stating that a number of Boers who were prominent in the late rebellion, and are opposed to a peace settlement, have commenced a system of terrorism over those of their fellow countrymen who have remained loyal, and refuse to take up arms against the British. London, April 4. The latest bulletin issued with regard to Earl Beaconsfield’s health states that his lordship is now worse since the last report. A severe disturbance occurred today at Cloghere, County Tyrone, Ireland. The sympathisers of a tenant violently resisted the service of a writ for ejectment, when a serious riot occurred between the people and the police. The latter fired upon the rioters, killed two, and wounded several others. Russia has appealed to the several European Governments to assist in crushing the organisation under which the use of infernal machines is increasing seriously. The seditious speech recently delivered by Mr. Dillon, the member for Tipperary, is engaging the attention of the Crown law officers with a view to prosecution. Melbourne, April 4. Lady Gordon is a passenger from England by the Orient Company’s steamship Lusitania. The revenue of Victoria for the past quarter amounted to £1,438,000, being an increase of £170,000 as compared with the March quarter of last year. The railway revenue shows an increrse of £59,000, and the Customs and increase of £55,000. Sydney, April Ist.
