The Standard. (PUBLISHED EVERY TUESDAY, THURSDAY, AND SATURDAY.)
THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 1874.
‘ We shall sell to no man justice or right: We shall deny to no man justice or right: We shall defer to no man justice or right.”
We trust that the unavoidable postponement of the issue of our enlarged sheet to Wednesday next, will not be productive of much inconvenience to our subscribers. The many little anxieties attendant upon the changes we have in hand, have rendered this step necessary ; and, moreover, for the more satisfactory completeness of our plan, we are reluctantly compelled to omit our usual issue on Saturday. Henceforward the “ Standard and People’s Advocate” will appear twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the present triple issue being no longer required, in view of the increased accommodation which will be provided. Any favors intended for insertion, or alteration in advertisements, we shall be obliged if forwarded as early as possible.
