Variety Troupe.—This attractive Company of gymnaata will “ trouble ” the public of Poverty Bay tn-mght, in the Music Hall, at 8 o’clock; and from what we have heard of their performances in other places, the “ trouble ” to them should certainly be a pleasure to us. Education Rate.—lt will be seen by a reference to our advertizing columns that notice is given by Messrs. Hcsketh and Richmond, solicitors for the Receiver that unless the Education rate be paid forthwith proceedings will be taken agrinat all defaulters. We may call the attention of the Government to the fact that at preset there is no collector in this district to whom the rates can be paid. Mr. Shirley resigned at the beginning of May last, and to this time, no ana has been appointed his successor.
