CRICKET REVIVING IN AUCKLAND

(Wanganui Herald’s own Correspondent.) Auckland, October 26. Cricket this season promises to be vary popular in Auckland. Our local players bavo been paying close attention to practice, and we shall be able to pat a very fine team in tbe field tc cope with tbe English teams- It is expected both English teams that are to visit the colonic? this year *will come to Auckland, although only Lillywhite’s team is under negotiation as yet. Shaw’s team is very likely to come here too, however, for Shaw himself baa been in Auck land several times, and will make an effort tc re-visit it. Then there is a strong probability of an Australian team coming over to New Zealand this season, in which cane Auckland would be sure to receive a visit.
