ANNEXATION. Melbourne, Oct, 25. —An influential deputation from the Fiji Annexation Committee waited upon the Premier to-day tt urge the advantage which would result from the annexation of Fiji with Victoria. The Hon. D. Gillies, in reply to the arguments of the deputation, said that while not throwing cold water upon the project, the advantages to be gained by Victoria should annexation be effected would be small; He suggested that a policy of reciprocity would be gi eater benefit to both colonies.
