PATEA EAST ROAD BOARD.
The above Board held a meeting on Saturday ; present: Messrs W. Gower Fleetwood, Honcyfield, and Palmer. The business was to consider the matter of the alteration of the boundaries of the Patea East. Hoad district, to alter the date of the election and annual meeting, and also the date of striking the rate. It was resolved to meet at the Whenuakura school-house on Saturday, June 23, to strike a rate of id in the £, such rate to be payable on August 4th. The annual meeting of ratepayers will also be held on the same day, and the election of Commissioners on the following Saturday. Resolved that the Secretary apply to the Government for all monies due to the Board on account of land sold on deferred payment within the district. The Board discussed the
matter of the alteration of the boundaries, and it was decided that the members should endeavour to procure the signature of the, ratepayers in the district to the petition made out relative to thatobjlSjt. This was all the business.
