(per press association) AUCKLAND, this day. Mr Bryce has returned to Auckland from the Waikato, and will remain in the district till near the end of the month. He expects to have a conference with the Premier before returning to Wellington by the West Coast, going to Alexandria through to Mokau, and thence to New Plymouth. He hopes, before the meeting of Parliament, to have preliminary explorations made of three proposed routes of the Main Trunk Railway. The explorations are intended to be of such nature as will satisfy Parliament as to the practicability of any of the routes. A big survey of the large block of u King country ” has been started.
