DROWNING CASE.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, March 11. The body of a woman was found early this morning floating in the harbour. It was'identified as that of Susan Duncan, a woman of indifferent reputation. Shortly afterwards a dingy was found floating, with a man and a woman’s umbrella in it. A seaman of the schooner Saxon, named Charles Baker, is also missing. Later. In the drowning case it has been ascertained that Susan Duncan, whose body has been recovered was seen on the railway wharf at midnight on Saturday in company with Chas. Baker, a seaman ou board the schooner Saxon. They left the wharf in a small dingy, leaving a woman named Eliza Dietrich to await their return, but Deitrich fell asleep. The dingy which had not capsized, and two umbrellas have been recovered, but no sign of Baker has been found. Both were under the influence of drink.
