The Home players went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn the score stood at 213, with 7 wickets down; The highest contributions were —Bonn or, 54 ; Scott, 29 ; Horan, 37 ; Midwinter, 55 (not out). The bowling and fielding of the Englishmen were excellent. The weather was fine during the da3’-, and there was a very large attendance of spectators. (Received March 12,12.40 a.m.) March 10. The Anglo - Victorian cricket match was resumed to-day. The Victorian team continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 284. Midwinter played a splendid innings of 92, not out McShane scored 27. The Englishmen then went in for their first innings, and when stumps were drawn had put together only 47 for the loss of seven wickets. The weather was showery during the day, and play was occasionally stopped. There was a large attendance of spectators, by whom great interest was taken in the game.
