WANGANUI TROTTING RACES.

The sixth meeting of the Club was held on Saturday The attendance was very moderate, but some good sport was enjoyed by those present. The Maiden was won by Mr W Lingard’s blk g Jack, ridden by Chavannes. The Handicap trotting race, 30 sovs, was won by Mr S Powell’s ch m Wakatu, with Mr J Higgie’s Castaway second. Trial Stakes, 20 sovs, 2 miles, fell to Mr A J Keith’s Rambler, The Wanganui Handicap Race of 60 sovs, distance 3 miles, was the event of the day, and was won by ' Castaway with 68 secs start, Speculation (43 secs) 2. The Consolation of 15 sovs, was securod by the last named horse.
