At the Petty Sessions Court, .County Galway, a priest named O’Higgins was committed for trial upon a charge of inciting to murder. He was escorted to goal by a detachment of cavahy. Cotton Mill Burned- ; The Gladstone mills at Ashton underLyne have been burned. ; The damage is £IOO,OOO. ; White - Labor and Chinese. Mass; meetings of trade unions have been held everywhere in the East to denounce the veto on the Anti-Chinese Bill, by which, it is alleged, the interests of the productive classes are ignored in favour of corporations and capital. Great Earthquake.
