KAKARAMEA.

(from our correspondent.) 1 have bean shown a curious substance taken out of the stomach of a bullock killed by Mr Brodie. It is difficult to describe the substance accurately. In form and color it resembles a good sized cricket ball, but has a grain like highly polished wood. Various opinions have been expressed as to which of the three kingdoms, animal, vegetable, or mineral, it belongs. I think it to be an accumulation of hair which the animal has licked off its own hide, and which, by the action of the coats and juices of the stomach, has become gradually hardened and rounded into its present shape. It seems strange that the animal was nevertheless in perfect health. Mr Brodie, I dare say, will be glad to shew it to any person who maj' have a taste for the marvellous.
