RECEIVED LAST NIGHT. LATEST ITEMS. At Auckland, the yacht Diamond is supposed to have been lost in a squall, with Mr E. Close and family. Parliament is farther prorogued to May 17th. Quartz in the Wairarapa is being tested for gold. The Clyde Hotel at Wellington was burnt down yesterday morning. The outward mail steamer to ’Frisco was delayed by breaking a crank pin. Bishop Redwood had an imposing reception on landing at Wellington yesterda}'. He addressed a large assemblage in the Catholic Church.
