' Marino Department, Wellington, 7th October, 1881. TENDERS will be received np to xoox of Wednesday,the 20th inst., for carting from 225 to 250 tons of Building Materials from New Plymouth to the lighthouse site at Capo Egmont. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister having charge of the Marine Department, Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender for Carting.” Specifications can be seen at the Public Works Offices, Wellington, New Plymouth,

Patea, and Wanganui, and at the Post Office, Hawera. Telegraphic tenders similarly addressed and marked will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by noon-of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer’s Office by the same hour. Sale of Waimate Plains. WEST COAST, NORTH ISLAND. Crown Land’s Office, Wellington, 9th September, 1880. IT is hereby notified that 127 Sections of Land in the abovenamed locality will be offered for sale on deferred and immediate payments.

The sections on deferred payments will be open for application on Monday, the 25th‘October, at the Land Offices, Carlyle and Hawera. Sections for which there arc more than one application will be submitted to auction, between the applicants only, on Thursday, the 28th October, at Hawera. The price of land on deferred payments will be £5 an acre. Five shillings per acre will have to be deposited on making application. Each applicant will only be allowed tt» apply for one section on deferred payments. Applicants lor land on deferred payments may send their applications and deposits, with statutory declaration as required by “ The Land Act, 1877,” through post to the Land Office, Carlyle, Patea, to arrive on or before the 25th October. Envelopes should be marked “Application for deferred payment land, Waimate Survey District,”

The In ml on immediate payments will be sold by public auction, open to all bidders, on Fiuday, 29th October, at Hawcra. Upset price, £4 an acre. On immediate payment there arc 88 sections, ranging from 50 acres to 100 acres each.

On deferred payments there are 39 sections, ranging from 50 acres to 80 acres each.

Colored lithograph-plans may be seen at all the Land Offices of the Colony on and after the 15th instant.
