The Legislative Council has rejected the proposal for payment of its members, but passed the payment to members of the Assembly.
TURKISH DEFIANCE. London, Sept. 29
Report is received that the Albanians (a branch of Turks) have destroyed Dulcigno by fire, to prevent its falling to Montenegro by compulsion of the Powers.
AGREEMENT OP THE POWERS* London, September 29.
Ambassadors of the Great Powers to Turkey have signed a protocol declaring the solidarity of their Governments regarding the execution of the treaty of Berlin, and repudiating the idea that they have any desire in the direction of territorial aggrandisement.
