Her Majesty’s gunboats, which were despatched to Haifa, have returned to their station in the Miditerranean. TAXING N.S.W. PRODUCE. Sydney, Wednesday. In the Legislative Assembly last night the Bill for imposing new taxes on wool, coal, and stock was read a second time on a division, by a majority of only two. It is considered doubtful whether the Government will proceed with the measure in the face of such a small majority.
