Disorderly Conduct, —Mrs McLeod was conveyed by coach to Carlyle on Monday, and her case being considered a bad one and a bard one, she was sentenced to a month’s imprisonment in Wanganui gaol. It is to be hoped that the punishment may have a salutary effect upon herself and act as a warning to others who make drunkenness an excuse for their erratic conduct.

Election. —It is always guessed at by the knowing ones who will be the successful candidate, but the result of the poll The Weather. —We have been favored with fine weather for outdoor work for the last few days, with eveiy prospect of its continuance. It will enable all who are engaged in out-door pursuits to get on with their work, and leave the satisfaction that if they have not been making much they have not been idle.
