Sin,—As the new Electoral Act appears to be still much misunderstood, a little explanation by you, of its provisions, would be advantageous, and might be the means of placing many non-electors on the roll. The Government are pledged to bring in a Redistribution of Seats Billj and much depends upon the number on the electoral roll as to whether we shall secure a separate member for this district. With that end in view we should all be up and doing. Forms might be kept at every store and hotel in the district, and every man should fill in Ids claim. If the signs of the times are a true indication of coming events, wc shall soon be having another election, and every man should be in a position to exercise Ids rigid. I hope that you and your ITawera contemporary w .‘lj take the matter in hand, and so render one more valuable service to the district.—l am’, &c., REFORMER. Patea, May 1.
