Land taken for Road in Section 59, Block IV., Carlyle Survey District, Provincial District of Taranaki, (1.5.) Hercules Robinson, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under “ The Public Works Act, 1876,” and “The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,” for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a Road in Section fifty-nine, Block four, Carlyle Survey District, Provincial District of Taranaki: And whereas the Patea West Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial and map mentioned in and signed and certified as required by the said Acts: Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections twenty-one, twentytwo, twenty-three, twenty-four, and twenty-five of “The Public Works Act, 1876,” and by section twenty-eight of “ The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,” and of any other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and that, from and after the eighteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, the land so described shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever, for use as a road, SCHEDULE. All that piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 37 perches, more or less, situated in the Survey District of Carlyle, Provincial District of Taranaki, being portion of Section No. 59, Block IV; Commencing at a point 1061 links south of D on original road line, being 29° 54' magnetic ; thence generally easterly by lines, 652,102,410, and 524 links respectively; thence generally westerly by lines, 139, 412, 372, 497, and 104 links respectively to the commencing point: be the aforesaid linkages either more or less ; the above particulars being delineated on the map attached to the memorial referred to. Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chiof in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of Now Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same ; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Wellington, this third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty.
