Greig’s estate v William Aikman claim 4i17 1/7s 2£d. Defendant claimed a set-off; A great deal of time was taken up with the hearing of this case, but judgment was eventually given for plaintiff-foi &T 17s 2£d and costs, plaintiff however to pay-20s, being the costs of two' witnesses. Two other-cases were adjourned to next Court day. The Hart Operetta Company gave their opening performance on Saturday night, to one of the best houses yet seen here. It is by the best troupe that has ever visited this district, and those who failed to attend on Saturday, lost a genuine musical treat, the like of which they may not have an opportunity of witnessing forsome time to come. Another chance, however, offers to-night, when I have no doubt a crowded house will again reword thorn.
