SCHOOL AFFAIRS.
(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Sir, — In your report on School' affairs which appeared in last issue of the Mail, a slight error occurred in that part which had reference to a meeting of School Com-
mittt.ee. by which it appeared that Masters from ixakararnea, Whenuakura, and Yvairoa were in attendance. I wish the public to know that such .was not the case, as the ‘meeting.of: the; Committee;only took place when those gentlemen vacated the room ; arid so far as I am aware, the object of their visit to the School, was simply to receive a few prize books which had been left there for division between Carlyle, and adjacent Schools, and was in no way connected with Committee badness.—l am. &c.. WILLIAM AITCHISON, Chairman, Carlyle School Committee. , Docomber 19th, X 378.
