Has splendid bone, and a fine temper. He was bred by Mr Walls, of Canterbury, ami took two first prizes as a two-year old at Blenheim, Victory is by Royal Conqueror, out of Mr Walls’ prize mare Blossom. Royal Conqueror took first prize at the United All-England and Highland Societies Agricultural Show at Battersea, when a two-year old, and was purchased by H. Redwood, Esq., for £7OO, and imported to Hew Zealand, Blossom (Victory’s dam) took several first prizes as best brood marc in Canterbury. Victory has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock are so well known throughout the district, that any long comment would be superfluous; it need only be added that they will compare favorably with any horses on the coast, and ns workers cannot be beaten, A three-year old filly, got by Victory, and exhibited by T. Mason, Esq., at the last Wellington Show, took first prize. Terms—Single mares, £8 10s; two or more, £3 ; groom age, 2s 6d. ALBANS is 8 years old, by Malton (impelled), out of Montrose, by Potentate ; g d Dolly, by Sir Hercules; gg d Dora, the best in Sydney of her day on the tnrf. Malton’s pedigree is indisputable, and he is the sire of several first-class horses on the flat and over hurdles. St. Albans won the Maiden Steeplechase at Aramoho in 1876; won the Hurdle Race at the Hutt last year, weight for age, beating Tommy Dodd and a largo field; w'on the Ladies’ Purse at Foxton, welter weight for age, beating Parawcnui, &c. His performances over fences in Wanganui have stamped him the best crosscountry horse in the Island. St. Albans is a beautiful dark chestnut, stands 16 hands, and from his size and breeding is in every way suitable for getting roadsters, hunters, or superior hackneys.
