TO STAND THIS SEASON AT WAVER LEY. The Blood Horse, GLADIATOR, Imported to Victoria by the late J. Moffatt, Esq. GLADIATOR is a golden chestnut, rising 7 years old, 15 hands 3 inches high, bred by Count Legrange, by that celebrated horse, Gladiatenr, out of Nuncia, by Nuncio, out of Fatina, by Ellis. Gladiatenr by Monarque, out of Miss Gladiator, by Gladiatenr, out of Ta(Trail, by Sheet Anchor. For further particulars vide English Stud Book. Gladiatenr was the winner of the Derby St. Leger, 2000 guineas; and the Grand Prix, in 1865. Teems —Single Mares, £7 7s; three or more, £6 10s; groornage, ss. Paddocking provided for four weeks free of charge, and afterwards 2s per week will be charged. Every care taken, but no responsibility. One of the owners will be in Wanganui every alternate Thursday (on the day of F. E. Jackson’s sale), to receive and take up the country all mares. Hailstorm is by Pacific, by Flatcatclier (winner of the 2,00U quineas stakes, and ran third for the Epsom Derby.) Hailstorm is a rich roan, 3 years old, stands 15 hands 2 inches, is out of Discretion by Towton, is fall brother to Resolution and Queen of the Vale, and for symmetry and power cannot be surpassed. For full particulars of pedigree see Stud Book. Terms—£s each mare. Good paddocks for mares free for one month, after which 2s a week will be charged. Every care will be taken, but no responsibility incurred. The season will end the first week in December, when all fees must be paid and mares removed. Scotchman took two first prizes at Rhinds of Galloway Society Show, held at Stranraer; and also took first prize at Kyneton, Victoria, every year as the purest Clydesdale stallion exhibited. Young Scotchman is out . Jess by Lothian Tam (imported); grand dam Gipsy (imported), by Old Champion of Scotland. Young Scotchman took first prize at Kyneton, Victoria, as a 1-year old, a silver cup valued at £2O; also took first prize of £3O as a 2-year old at the same place. Young Scotchman will be at Waverley on Tuesdays ; at our Farm, Kakaramea, on Thursdays; and at Hawora on Saturdays. Terms —Single marcs, £5; a reduction of 10s each will bo made on three or more mares; guarantee, £7; groom’s fee, 2s 6d—to be paid on first service. Good grass paddocks provided free.
