PATE A COUNTY COUNCIL. The ordinary meeting of the above Council commenced in the Council Chamber on Wednesday last. Present: Messrs Bridge (in the chair), Lhciwood, Davidson, Kcnali, Furlong, Dale, and Honeyfiehl, Minutes of previous meeting and of special meetings were read and confirmed. Inward and outward correspondence read. Proposed by Mr Sherwood, seconded by Mr Konah, and canned, “ That the whole of the Mountain Road correspondence be left over, until the consideration of the whole question, in the period of ordinary business.” Letters were received and road from Councillor Livingstone, excusing himself for non-attendance, and forwarding report of public mooting hold at Hawera re hospital. A deputation of Normanby settlers waited on the Council re the Mountain Road. The deputation comprised Messrs C. K. Gibson, F. H. Brett, F. Hunger, andF. Finlayson.
