NEW PLYMOUTH. February 5 At the Waste Lands Board meeting, the Ranger’s Report on Robson Bros application for Land at Ketemarae, says £2 per acre would be a fair upset price. The matter was deferred till the Land has been surveyed.A telegram received from Government re Christie’s Special Settlement was read. Government states it would be detrimental to the public interest and declines it. The Haw ora Road Board applied for assistance from Government to complete the road toward Whakamara. The Waste Land Board said it had already applied for assistance to aid in making new roads and found no funds were available. LjWallat and wife, charged with perjury,having sworn they had paid D. M. Hogg, of Waverley, an account owing to him, were committed for trial at the District Court. They wore bailed out.
