Over 120 letters were received by the Auckland Education Board in committee from married women teachers, who wrote in reply to the board’s request that they should state reasons why their engagements as teachers should not be terminated. After discussion, a committee consisting of the chairman, -Air A. Burns, the senior inspector, Air J. Robertson, and Air T. U. Wells was appointed to investigate cases and report to a special meeting to be held on June 9.
