There are now 730 relief workers employed on the construction of the Te Anau Downs road, which is completed to a distance of 28 miles from the Te Anau Hotel. About 30 miles had yet to be covered before the Divide is reached (reports the Southland Daily News), and the progress made is regarded as satisfactory.
