DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS.

Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows :— The entries for Saturday s sale were not heavy, principally composed of light harness sorts. The attendance was fair, and included a number of buyers on the lookout for good useful farm sorts, but, unfortunately, at the present time tlm class of horse is very hard to pick up, consequently business was limited. During the week we have sold a large number at prices ranging up to £41. Houses of all classes at the present time are exceedingly scarce, and any coming forward meet a ready sale at prices quite £5 in advance of rates ruling two months ago. There is also a strong inquiry for tip-Sip mares and fillies, and we could place <t number at excellent values. Vendors having horses to dispose of at present should avail themselves of the keen demand anJ consign them to our weekly auctiens. We quote: Superior young draught geMings, at from £40 to £45; extra good ditto (prize-winners), at from £45 to £50 ; superior young draught maree, at from £50 to £60; medium draught mares and geldings,, at from £30 to £40;

aged, at l/om £10 to £15; strong springvan horses, at from £25 to £30; strong spring-carters, at from £18 to £25; milkcert and butchers' order-cart horses, at from £15 to £25 ; light hacks, at from £8 to £13 ; extra good .hacks and harness horses, at from £13 to £25; weedy and aged, at from £5 to £7.
