MELBOURNE, September 8.

The brothers Pearce won. the Australian Golf Doubles. The previous holders of the title (Scott and Riddle, of Victoria) did not defend it. MELBOURNE September 9. In the inter-State golf match in connection with the Australian championship meetings at SandTingham, Victoria beat South Australia, and Tasmania beat New South Wales. In the final Victoria beat Tasmania by tour matches. The feature of the content was the game between Ctyde Pearce (Tasmania) and Scott (Victoria), the former winning by one hole.
