The annual match between the Palmerston Draughts Club and a combined -4eam from Duuback and Waikouaiti took place in the Oddfellows" Ha.ll, Palmer aton, on Friday, Septenibsi 3. There was a record attend
lance both of players and visitors, several I ladies being amongst th© latter. Great in- ! terest was taken in the match, as it was expected the combined team would make « good stand against Baimerston this year., However, the results proved otherwise, a3 is shown below. At the conclusion of thai match the visitors were entertained at supper as usual.
