The cyanide' extractions from sands, etc., will be completed and sent down by the end of the week. Nine hundred and eighty tons of stone were treated. There is an improvement in No. 7 stope north, and it appears to correspond to No. 6 stope south. This would indicate that there is another run of gold coming' in from the 'north. The other stopes south are in the old run of gold. Repairs to the battery are npw being effected, and will shortly be completed, and crushing again commenced. August 14. The New Alpine Gold Mining Com.- . pany's return fronv the battery is 2550z of concentrates and from sands 650z, «. total of 3200z from 986 tons crushed. The value , is £1240.
