ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION
■» LONDON, August 11. Lieutenant Shacjkleton states that the Antarctic expedition had cost £43,000, and that the expenditure continues. A staff of nine is working out the scientific results. He does not deeire, however, to bring any personal pressure for a national grant. August 12. Mr Aequith stated that the question of a Government grant towards Lieutenant Shackleton's expenses is under consideration.
