VENTILATION OF GRIEVANCES,

HOKITIKA, February 15.

The. Hon. R. M'Nab (Minister of' La-ids) is expected here next Wednesday to aliend the agricultural show. The Mayor is organising a deputation to wait on ihe Minister in regard to the residential conditions imposed on holders of Crown lands under section 35 of the Land Act of last session. A great hardship is inflicted on many tenants who have improved their properties, but are not in a position to actually reside on them.
