At a special meeting of the Otaki
Borough Council last night, seven apjilicatioiis were received for the position of ranger and sexton, viz., T. Swensson, Dan Rikihana, August Bishop, August Wallace, Harry Phillips, Henare Taliiwi. end Tore Turn. After
several common » had been made on the ability of the applicants, it was decided to appoint Mr Phillips, and to ask him to agree to collect rubbish in the business area.
