Every elub should do its utmost to cuter as nuns}" teams as possible for the events, and the people of Otaki can be trusted to do their share to make the affair n better success than it was last year. Jlr Ralph Smith, of tit.- Royal Life Saving Society, is spending a week's holiday in Otaki prior to the competition, and is (raining: teams from Otaki that will ffiwi the town teams a good K 0 for both the trophies. The Worsur Bay Club. the present holders of the Otaki Land Drill Cup, are assiduously training to retain it. and after their defeat last week the Mnrnnui Club can be depended oil to make a j;"ood showing to retain the shield. It is expected that at least 150 swimmers and their friends will make the trip from Wellington.
