PARAPARAUMU SPORTS.
i The final of the scries of sports meetings was hold on Wednesday afternoon. There was n fail attendance, and. favored by line weather, the programme was run off in good time. The main interest centred in tho poiats prize Cor. the senior competitions, as the iwuc was in doubt until the conclusion of the programme, when L. Cornor headed '.he list with a heid of three points. C. Mowbray, who was suffering from a cold was runner up. L. Potts, a promising yeung athlete, won the junior joints prize with the substantia] lead of ten points. V>"e expect to hour more of this young runner later, for he certainly gives the haudicapper a lot of bother. In the evening a social aud, dance was he!;], when the President of the Club, Mr K. Maclean, presen»"d the prizes and trophy orders.. Mr E. Clarke, Club chairman, in a happy little speech, presented Mi Sowell with a ease' of Loewc pipes on the eve of his departure for Wellington. Mr fiewell is well known te athletes as the Club starter, and his going will be a decided loss to the .Sports Club, as his valued advice and help were freely given to all interested in athletics., The following are the result!- of the meeting, and the points prize competition: — On.iJ.lile Junior.—D.
