PRESENTATION.
70 MR UTIKU HAPETA. At the practice of the Otaki Brass Baii«l last evening the opportunity was taken to present Air Utiku Hapeta, late baiuiii.aster, with a token of esteem for line work rendered. Air J. J\ Brandon (President) in making the presentation. referred to the excellent services rendeied by Air Hapeta, and hoped that the present—a silver mounted walking | stick—-would remind him of the pleasant days spent with the Band. He was pleased all had worked well together. and hoped the friendship would always continue. (Applause, accompanied by 4 * For He’s A Jolly Good Fellow.’') Air Wise, conductor, supplemented the remarks, and hoped that the friendship which had always existed would be cemented even closer than over. He hoped the Band would not altogether lose such a faithful worker, and that Air Hapeta would lill his position should he (Air Wise) be absent at any time. Air Hapeta suitably responded, alter! which he was accorded cheers.
