MOTOR AMBULANCE.
At the Borough Council meeting last night Cr. Cockrell asked if anything further had been done regarding the sale of the motor ambulance. It was stated in reply that no further replies had been received from Shannon. Cr. Kilsby suggested the Council buy the ambulance and convert it into a motorlorry to use in carting metal from the Rahui road —the River Board having decided that no more metal be taken from the river. Crs. Kilsby, Taylor, and Broadway were appointed a committee to go into the matter of converting the ambulance into a lorry and report.
