PARLIAMENTARY.
The big eTeiit yesterday in the House of Representatives, where the debate on the no-confidence motions of the Liberal and Labour oppositions is still in progress. was the speech delivered by the Prime Alinister in the evening. Mr Massey spoke for about an hour and forty-five minutes, and covered a wide variety of subjects. He put it plainly to the House that if the Liberal amendment was carried a Government headed by Air Wiliord could do nothing without the consent of the Labour Party. The three-party system, he said, was the curse of every country where it existed. Mr Massey was the eighth speaker for the day, and he was followed by one other.
